As Klein Oak safety Dashone Smith begins fall camp for his senior season BobcatReport.com got a chance to sit down for some Q&A with the one of the top defensive prospects in the Greater Houston Area.

Currently Smith has offers from Minnesota, Nevada, Texas State, Louisiana Tech and Western Michigan.

BR.com – What are the best and worst parts of the recruiting process?

Smith – The best part is learning about different schools and what they have to offer when you get there.

BR.com -What university was your childhood favorite?

Smith – LSU

BR.com – What NFL player do you model your game after or look up to? 

Smith – Bob Sanders

BR.com – How has life been in Houston in comparision to your time in Louisiana?

Smith – Its nice to live in Houston and its just nice to live! I think Houston made me a better player on and off the field. 

BR.com – What position would you like to play in college?

Smith – Im still looking into that!

BR.com -What will be some factors that will lead you to committing to a school?

Smith – Education, playing time, coaching style,and fans!

BR.com – If you could play any other sports besides football, what would it be?

Smith – Basketball

BR.com -Whats your expectations for Klein Oak this year? What is your personal goal in the 2011 season?

Smith – My goal for next year is to be the best safety in the STATE! As a team I want to win district and go very deep into the playoffs.

BR.com – Do you plan on taking any official visits? If so, where to?

Smith – Yes sir, Minnesota and  Nevada.  I also want to go visit TCU and Arizona.

BR.com – X-box or PS3?

Smith – X-box

BR.com -PC or Mac?

Smith – Mac

BR.com – Favorite vehicle?

Smith – F-150

BR.com – Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Smith – I see myself in the NFL or a good engineer!

BR.com – What do you plan to do for the rest of the summer?

Smith – I’am planing on working out with my team to  getting better for next year!

BR.com – Whats your thoughts about the Texas State football program? 

Smith – They have a good program and a good coaching staff.

BR.com – Whats your thoughts about the Nevada football program?

Smith – Nevada is a very nice school for football and education!

BR.com – Whats your thoughts about the LSU football program? 

Smith – I went to LSU for junior and I met most of the coaches and they all where very cool. LSU is a awesome place!

BR.com –  Whats your thoughts about the Minnesota football program?

Smith – Minnesota is a very nice school both on the football field and off the field.

BR.com – Favorite NFL team?

Smith – New Orleans Saints
